Gonadorelin is a research peptide corresponding to the natural gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), a decapeptide with the sequence pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH₂. It binds to the GnRH receptor on pituitary gonadotrophs, activating Gq/11 protein–coupled signaling and stimulating the synthesis of gonadotropins in experimental models. Gonadorelin is utilized in studies exploring hypothalamic–pituitary axis regulation, peptide receptor kinetics, and endocrine feedback control mechanisms.
